Course Description: Affordable Care Act Trainer of Community Trainers: Online English Version

Course Duration: 40 minutes

This online course is a duplicate version of a face-to-face training given in Arizona to community trainers assisting individuals enrolling in the Affordable Care Act. The training gives current, up to date information regarding pertinent information about, changes to, and  enrollment instructions for the Affordable Care Act as of December of 2014.

A pre- and post-assessment are required to complete this course. You must complete imbedded pre-assessment before viewing the presentation. After viewing the presentation, return to TRAIN and complete the post-assessment. 

Objective: Community trainers will be able to confidently assist individuals and families in understanding the information within the Affordable Care Act law. Trainers will assists individuals in enrolling in the marketplace and be able to give direction and answer questions for individuals regarding the Affordable Care Act law.

This course is supported by the Western Region Public Health Training Center at the University of Arizona Mel & Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health in Tucson Arizona. The developing partners of this course are Pima Community Access Program, Mariposa Community Health Center, Children's Action Alliance, Mountain Park Health Center, Keogh Health Connection, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, LeCroy & Milligan Associates, inc. and the Western Region Public Health Training Center.

Eligible for 0.5 CHES Credit through 3/31/2017

The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is a Designated Multiple Event Provider of Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

0.5 CECH for CHES will be submitted to NCHEC if you designate that you are taking this training for CHES credit and the post assessment is passed with 80% or greater.  Credits will be submitted to NCHEC on a quarterly basis.
